Supports That Work Together
The CHARYJOD Dual-Head Height Adjustable LED Desk Lamp (Model TD-JB007-WAU) is an adaptable tabletop task-lighting solution designed to support individuals with low vision, visual fatigue, photophobia (light sensitivity), or reduced fine motor dexterity during reading, study, and close-work activities. Standard overhead room lighting often creates harsh glare or uneven shadows across desk surfaces. Featuring a wide dual-head light bar equipped with 76 flicker-free LED beads (CRI >80%), this lamp delivers uniform, low-glare illumination across books, keyboards, communication boards, and hobby workspaces.
Constructed from lightweight aluminium (800 g) with a height extension range from 39 cm to 58 cm, the dual swing arms provide 180-degree lateral rotation and 90-degree vertical tilt so users can direct light precisely where needed without repositioning heavy furniture. A zero-force touch control panel provides access to 5 colour temperatures (3000K warm light to 6500K cool daylight) and 10 brightness levels—totalling 50 customisable lighting combinations. Complete with a 45-minute auto-off timer, a built-in memory function that restores the last-used lighting profile, and a foldable space-saving frame, the lamp supports comfortable visual access across home, school, and office environments.
How This Device Supports NDIS Participants
- Enhanced Contrast for Low Vision: Wide dual-head coverage with 10 adjustable brightness levels and >80% CRI illumination increases text contrast and reduces shadows when reading print documents, labels, or visual schedules.
- Sensory-Friendly Glare & Flicker Control: Flicker-free LED output and 5 selectable colour temperatures (3000K–6500K) allow participants with sensory processing differences, migraine triggers, or light sensitivity to dial in a comfortable, non-harsh colour tone.
- Accessible Zero-Force Touch Control: Flat touch-sensitive controls eliminate small rotary switches or stiff push buttons, enabling effortless operation for users with arthritis, reduced grip strength, or fine motor challenges.
- Memory Retention & 45-Minute Auto-Off Timer: Automatically remembers the user's preferred brightness and colour setting between uses and includes a 45-minute shut-off timer to support evening wind-down routines.
